Rusty is a1994 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He has been employed by the University of Nebraska-Omaha since 1997, serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the department of athletics until November 2006 when he assumed his current position as Head Athletic Trainer.  In addition to his position within the athletic department, he is an instructor for UNO's Athletic Training Education Program.

Aaron   NSATA Vice President-Aaron Madsen

Aaron Madsen continues his career as the Assistant Athletic Trainer and Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Concordia University—Nebraska Sports Medicine Department.  He is the Certified Athletic Trainer for 10 of the now 20 teams.  Aaron is a 2001 graduate from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  He accepted his first NSATA Executive Board position as Treasurer in June 2006.  He served in that capacity for the past 4 years before being elected to serve as the Vice President.  He has enjoyed the challenge of working on the administrative side of NSATA and serving the membership.

In his “spare time,” he has also been a Certified Firefighter and EMT on three Fire and Rescue Departments, and currently works with Seward’s.  Aaron’s hobbies include being active in his church; reading; spending time with his family, his wife of 2+ years, and friends; running and exercising; working for the NSAA State High School Athletic Championships; volunteering for the Cornhusker State Games’ Medical Team; volunteering on Fire and Rescue Departments; and keeping up-to-date and advancing with continuing education in his respective medical fields.  Aaron currently serves on the Concordia UniversityNebraska’s Campus AED, Employee Wellness, Critical Incident Stress Management Team, and Weight Room Committees.  He also continues to serve as the current Great Plains Athletic Conference—Athletic Trainers’ Association’s first Vice President.

Todd   NSATA Secretary-Todd Goshorn

Todd H. Goshorn has been employed by Grand Island Physical Therapy and Sports Clinic for the past 18 years.  Todd is the Head Athletic Trainer for Grand Island Senior High School.  Todd has been involved with various NSATA committees and has also volunteered for numerous NSAA State Championship Events.  Todd is currently the secretary for the NSATA.  He was honored in 2002 with the George F. Danielle   NSATA Treasurer-Danielle Kleber

Danielle graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney which included an internship at Papillion-LaVista High School.  After holding a sales position at the Omaha World-Herald for two years, she worked on her graduate degree and as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  While at UNO she was in charge of numerous sports and most notably enjoyed success with the girl’s softball team when they earned the National Championship in 2001.  Her experience includes eight years as an Athletic Trainer at Lincoln Northeast High School, Director of a statewide wellness program N-Lighten Nebraska, and research assistant for a long-term osteoporosis study through UNMC.

Currently Danielle is the Director of Marketing and Operations at Athletes’ Training Center Sports Performance and Physical Therapy.  Staying active in her profession she serves as a Director and the President of the Omaha Sports Medicine Alliance.  She received the George F. Sullivan Athletic Trainer of the Year award in 2007.  In her free time she enjoys biking nearby trails, spending time with her two Boxers, and attending UNO hockey games.

Rob    Immediate Past President-Rob Marshall

Currently, Rob is employed as an athletic trainer with Columbus Community Hospital.  He serves as the Athletic Training Outreach Coordinator in addition to providing health care services for Columbus High School.  Rob recently ended his second term serving as the NSATA President.  While on the executive board, he has helped to accomplish strategic goals and take the NSATA into a new direction filled with enthusiasm and passion.

Rob has made an impact and contribution in fostering the future of athletic training.  As President, he welcomed young leaders, developed them into young professionals and fully supported new ideas and initiatives.  For the next two years he will serve as Immediate Past President and continue to be a mentor and advisor to the student leadership council.  In March 2010, Rob was awarded the George F. Sullivan Athletic Trainer of the Year award.
