The mission of the Nebraska State Athletic Trainers'
Association Student Delegation is to develop and take
advantage of leadership opportunities at the state,
district and national levels; and to encourage
collaborative activities between accredited Athletic
Training Education Programs in the state of Nebraska.

Current Officers:
NWU: Shea Rasmussen
Shea graduated
from Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado in May
2008. She became interested in athletic training
after job shadowing a local athletic trainer for a
middle school On-The-Job-Day. Currently she
attends Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln,
Nebraska and is on track to graduate in May 2012.
Shae plans to continue her education and attend graduate
school.
UNL: Tom
Hammett
NATA Delegate
Tom is a current athletic training
student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He
became interested in athletic training after attending a
UNL summer athletic training camp in high school.
He came to Capital City from Marysville, KS. Tom
would like to work as a graduate assistant athletic
trainer or gain an NFL internship after graduation in
May 2011.
UNO:Brooke Grotelueschen
NSATA Student
Delegate President
Brooke is a
2007 graduate from Lakeview High School in Columbus, NE.
There she became interested
in athletic training as she was involved in athletics
and had frequent contact with her high school athletic
trainer.
Brooke is fascinated with the progression of injuries
from when the injury occurred, evaluating it and
treatment. She feels it
is very rewarding to have the opportunity to help an
athlete quickly recover and safely return to play.
Brooke is attending the
University of Nebraska at Omaha and is expected to
graduate in May 2011.
After graduation she plan to
work as a certified athletic trainer in a high school or
small college.
UNK: Matt Harrington
Student
Delegate State
Representative
Matt is a current athletic training
student at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
His interest originated after he was injured at a
football camp the summer after his freshman year of high
school.
During high school, Matt gained experience as an
athletic training student aide working with Todd Goshorn
at Grand Island Senior High. After earning his
bachelor's degree next spring, he plans on going to
graduate school.
