Current Officers:

Shae   NWU: Shea Rasmussen

Shea graduated from Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado in May 2008.  She became interested in athletic training after job shadowing a local athletic trainer for a middle school On-The-Job-Day.  Currently she attends Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and is on track to graduate in May 2012.  Shae plans to continue her education and attend graduate school.

Tom   UNL: Tom Hammett

NATA Delegate

Tom is a current athletic training student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He became interested in athletic training after attending a UNL summer athletic training camp in high school.  He came to Capital City from Marysville, KS.  Tom would like to work as a graduate assistant athletic trainer or gain an NFL internship after graduation in May 2011.

Brooke UNO:Brooke Grotelueschen

NSATA Student Delegate President

Brooke is a 2007 graduate from Lakeview High School in Columbus, NE.  There she became interested in athletic training as she was involved in athletics and had frequent contact with her high school athletic trainer.  Brooke is fascinated with the progression of injuries from when the injury occurred, evaluating it and treatment.  She feels it is very rewarding to have the opportunity to help an athlete quickly recover and safely return to play.  Brooke is attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is expected to graduate in May 2011.  After graduation she plan to work as a certified athletic trainer in a high school or small college.

Matt  UNK: Matt Harrington

Student Delegate State Representative

Matt is a current athletic training student at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.  His interest originated after he was injured at a football camp the summer after his freshman year of high school.  During high school, Matt gained experience as an athletic training student aide working with Todd Goshorn at Grand Island Senior High.  After earning his bachelor's degree next spring, he plans on going to graduate school.
