ATs Impact Healthcare Through Action
Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly-skilled health care professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide compassionate health care for athletes, patients, soldiers, workers and performers. March is National Athletic Training Month (NATM), a time to celebrate the actions that ATs take to impact health care in work, life and sport. National Athletic Training Month is sponsored by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), the professional member’s association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession. NATA represents more than 45,000 members worldwide. (atyourownrisk.org)
Beginning in February and going through the end of March, the Nebraska Athletic Trainers’ Association (NSATA) will be promoting National Athletic Training Month (NATM) across the state. Athletic Trainers are asked to show support and advocacy of the athletic training profession by displaying LOVE AT signs, as well as Love My AT Temporary Tattoos. Attached you will find the LOVE AT document that you are allowed to print and display.
We ask that athletic trainers use the attached document to help promote the profession either by take pictures with individuals or groups that support athletic training, make a video, creating information bulletin boards, adding to digital signage, or signage in their facilities. Be creative and make it your own.
At the NSAA Winter Sports Championships, we ask any student athletes, coach, parent or administrator that have been positively impacted by an athletic trainer, to show their support by wearing one of our temporary tattoos. School athletic departments/athletic trainers can request the tattoos from Denise Marshall, PR Committee Chair, at .
NSATA Public Relations committee asks that ATs, coaches, parents or administrator to please show support for NATM by posting on social media and use the hashtags below. For more information on NATM, visit https://www.atyourownrisk.org/national-athletic-training-month/.
