Todd H. Goshorn, A.T.C.
Todd graduated from Cody-Kilgore High School in 1981. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree.
In the fall of 1993, he began his career as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Grand Island Physical Therapy and Sports Clinic in Grand Island, Nebraska where he was assigned the Head Certified Athletic Trainer for Grand Island Senior High School as well as several area schools surrounding Grand Island. He enjoys coming to work everyday and to see the difference he makes in a kid’s life is worth all the hours he endures at his job.
Todd was awarded the George F. Sullivan Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2002. He served on the NSATA Executive Board as the Secretary from 2008 -2012. He has also served as the Education Committee Chair as well as an Awards and Nominations Committee member. He has received his 10, 20, and 25-year service awards from the NSATA and has been a member of the NATA since 1990, and the NSATA and MAATA since 1992. He has served as a preceptor for the UNK Athletic Training Program since 2002. He served as the Certified Athletic Trainer for the Nebraska Danger Indoor Football League in 2010-2011. He has served as an Athletic Trainer for several of the Nebraska State Championship games. Todd developed the Student Athletic Training program at Grand Island Senior High. Through the years he has had over 200 students go through the program and several have pursued a career in the medical field.
Todd is married to Ellen and they have two sons, Kevin and Taylor. He states that without their support, love and understanding he would not have survived his career or the fact that he is a cancer survivor.
