Aaron is a native of Nebraska. He graduated from Gibbon High School in 1997 and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2001. Aaron advanced his education and completed a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration in 2011 at Concordia University, Nebraska during his nine-year career there.
Aaron became a member of NATA, MAATA, and NSATA in 1999. He has worked in various areas of healthcare since 1995 and began employment as an Athletic Trainer in 2001. He worked clinical sports medicine for his first thirteen years in the following areas: physical therapy clinic, outreach to high schools, and a university. He was blessed to work with talented high school, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and NAIA athletes with some advancing to the professional level. Aaron’s career in healthcare transitioned to administration in 2013 and he has led three organizations since that time.
Aaron has been an NSATA Executive Board member, serving as Treasurer from 2006—2010, as Vice President and Hall of Fame Committee Chair from 2010—2014, as the first Finance Committee Chair from 2010—2018, and as Secretary from 2018—2022. He was awarded the George F. Sullivan Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2011. Aaron has been an integral part of thriving NSATA Executive Boards with lots of ideas and positive progress.
As an avid volunteer that lives life for the benefit of others, Aaron has served on four different non-profit Boards, works as an AT for the NSAA State Championships, and has served as a firefighter and EMT on three departments. Family is his highest accomplishment in life. Aaron is married to Natalie and they have three wonderful children: Halle, Burke, and Bodie.
