Identify the NCAA Mental Health Best practices and ideas on how to implement best practices

Program Description

This presentation will provide education on the current mental health trends amongst college-aged students and specific mental health issues common to student-athletes. Review of the NCAA Mental Health Best practices and ideas on how to implement those practices will enhance the likelihood that schools/clinics are effectively and appropriately attending to student-athletes’ mental health needs. ATs are instrumental in ensuring best practices are met and in creating a culture of mental and physical well-being.

Speaker Bios

Kiphany Hof, LIMHP
Associate Director of Counseling
University of Nebraska at Kearney

Kiphany Hof is a licensed independent mental health practitioner and the Associate Director at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) Counseling Center. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of Wyoming. She has been employed with the UNK Counseling Center since 2011.


The target audience for this conference is certified athletic trainers, allied health care professionals and athletic training students.


The NSATA Summer Education Conference program includes Essential and Advanced level sessions.

The Nebraska State Athletic Trainers’ Association is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers.


Statements of Credit will be provided electronically after to the conference to each attendee who completes the following:
