Learning Objectives

Perform an accurate history and physical of the athlete with back pain.
Establish an accurate working diagnosis and treatment plan for the athlete with back pain.

Program Description

The lecture will discuss the basic anatomy of the spine and common diagnoses. A complete history and physical will be detailed. Common diagnostic tests and treatments will be discussed.

Speaker Bios


Dani Wooldrik, DO, CAQSM
Sports and Family Medicine Physician
CHI Good Samaritan

Dr. Wooldrik is a native of Scribner, Nebraska. She graduated from Logan View High school and then went on to attend Midland University. She achieved a Physical Education degree with emphasis in Athletic Training and minors in Biology and Chemistry. She received her medical degree from AT Still University – Kirksville College of Medicine and completed a family medicine residency at LMEP in Lincoln. She did a sports medicine fellowship at Via Christi in Wichita where she served as team physician for the Wichita State Shockers and Newman University Jets. She is currently practicing in Kearney ay CHI Good Samaritan and is the official medical provider for the Tri-City Storm.


TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience for this conference is certified athletic trainers, allied health care professionals and athletic training students.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY

The NSATA Summer Education Conference program includes Essential and Advanced level sessions.

The Nebraska State Athletic Trainers’ Association is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers.
