Program Description

The pelvic floor is a commonly overlooked area in women’s health. Understanding the anatomy, dysfunction and treatment are an essential part of comprehensive medical care. Pelvic floor physical therapy has strong evidence-based support as a first-line treatment for many pelvic floor disorders. Physical therapy can improve symptoms of urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and chronic pelvic pain.

Speaker Bios

Scarlett Prorok, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
New West Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Dr. Scarlett Prorok attended UNMC for physical therapy degree right here in Kearney. As a physical therapist, she enjoys seeing a variety of patients, but found a passion for pelvic floor therapy. She practices holistic patient care, often engaging with patients through conversations about mental well-being, physical pain, and environmental stresses to improve patient outcomes. She is passionate about her family and enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 year old child spending a lot of time outdoors.


The target audience for this conference is certified athletic trainers, allied health care professionals and athletic training students.


The NSATA Summer Education Conference program includes Essential and Advanced level sessions.

The Nebraska State Athletic Trainers’ Association is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers.
